Shannon McCord – Owner, Managing Member and Chief Investor

Shannon McCord has been in the Birmingham area for over 45 years. He grew up in Northeast Jefferson County and attended High School at Parkway Christian Academy and graduated from Pinson Valley High School. After High School, Shannon went to work for his father, who was in the timber business, for two years to save up to pay for college. Shannon then went on to graduate from UAB in 1994 with a degree in Industrial Distribution (ID). The ID program is a unique hybrid degree program that combines an engineering degree with a Marketing Degree.

After graduation, Shannon worked as sales engineer for a multinational manufacturer of industrial equipment. In between travel, Shannon started building homes, one at time until he went full time into the business a few years later. Shannon has been a licensed home builder for many years. After building new homes for a few years, Shannon started developing new home communities. He also constructed an on-site waste water treatment facility, which is now one of the largest of its kind in the State of Alabama.

Over his career, Shannon also been involved with 100’s of projects including remodels, additions, finish outs as well as new construction projects. Therefore, the transition to fix and flips, or cash flow rental properties was a very easy transition. Currently as the owner of All Star, Shannon has been involved with many investment properties, ranging from 16-unit apartment complexes to fix and flip, and cash flow single family homes. The company has provided investment properties to dozens of investors, ranging from the small, mom and pop operation up to working with the largest private equity groups in the market.

Shannon and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons, Brennen (17) and Nicholas (11). They are big sports fans and spend most weekends and weeknights at some kind of ball practice while also traveling for tournament play.

Michelle Skoglund – Operations

Michelle Skoglund has lived in the Birmingham area for almost 3 years. She was born and raised in Chicago, IL where she attended private schools from Kindergarten through her second year of college. Michelle received an athletic scholarship to St. Joseph’s College in Rensselear, IN, but due to an extensive injury finished her last two years of school at Illinois State University where she obtained her degree in Political Science.

Shortly after college, Michelle began her career in sales working at a for profit education corporation based in Chicago. Throughout her career, Michelle has become very numbers driven and detail oriented. She has gone through some of the best sales training programs available. After working for some of the top recruiting agencies in Chicago, Michelle and her family relocated to Birmingham, AL for a promotion her husband, Sean, received.

Now here at All Star, she assisted in developing the internal business system and is responsible for managing the sales and operations of the company. Combined with her years of sales experience and continuous training, she is able to assist in the disposition of properties and multiple other areas of the business if needed.

Michelle and Sean have two sons, Aiden (6) and Austin (3), and two shelter rescue dogs, Paisley and Shado. Even though they now live in football country, you can find them at the local ice rink as both of their boys play hockey.

Michael Fowler – Sales and Acquisitions

Mike Fowler grew up in Southern Indiana moving to Birmingham in 1981. Mike started his working career as an entrepreneur. He focused on the management, sales and marketing of his business. Mike had locations in Tuscaloosa, Mobile, and Birmingham. Mike has owned his own business for 30 years.

Mike has gone through extensive training in becoming the acquisitionist for All-Star Investment Properties. Mike is the deal maker of All Star. He is responsible for negotiating and purchasing real estate for the company. His work experience combined with his friendly demeanor and strong ability to build rapport is another reason All Star is able to acquire some deals others can’t.

Mike lives in Vestavia Hills with his wife Rachel of 14 years and two daughters Frances age 15 and Abigail age 14.

Miki Ireton– Customer Service, Lead Intake, Transaction Coordinator

 Miki Ireton was born in San Antonio, TX. Miki's father was in the Air Force and upon his discharge from the military her family moved back to Richmond, VA. where she spent her elementary years until her family moved to AL. Miki has lived in AL. since, graduating  in 1996 from  Montevallo High School.

Miki spent her subsequent years raising her two sons while also employed as a professional nanny. Once her sons were in high school she became employed at a self-directed IRA firm. Miki was a payment specialist and an account manager there, specializing in project accounting and customer services.

 Here at All Star she is a transaction coordinator and the customer services rep. She is excellent at communication with customers, our staff, and attorneys. Miki is great at managing paperwork , all that is involved in the selling process, and monitoring the progress.

 Miki and her husband Brandon have 4 boys together  Joe (22) , Preston (20), Drake (13), and Logan (12)  a granddaughter Addie (1) and  their dog Prince. She enjoys family time, reading, watching Alabama football, and the outdoors.


Mackay Barr – Project Management and Inspections

Mackay Barr has lived in the Birmingham area for 2 years after receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Army. He was a decorated combat veteran, and received multiple commendations from the Army Commendation Medal to the coveted Order of Saint George. He served as an Infantry Officer in Long Range Surveillance detachments, Cavalry Scout Squadrons, and Infantry Battalions performing all level of tasks from combat missions to logistics operations.

After leaving the Army Mackay began working as a production coordinator for an international manufacturing corporation. Using his previous experience in construction and project management from the Army, Mackay now uses that knowledge as owner/operator of Timberline Inspections.

Mackay is responsible for inspecting each property that becomes part of All Star’s inventory. He writes very detailed reports to help determine what scope of work is needed for each property. Mackay works with a team of qualified contractors that he manages through each project. He is very hands on and his military experience is apparent in his attention to detail. Each project that he is involved in, is worked through in a very diligent and thorough process.

Nichole Rotter - Designer

Nichole Davis Rotter of Davis Design is an interior decorator and has been professionally designing since 2001. After studying fashion design, interior design and marketing at the Art Institute she came into the design world as a professional. She has made many achievements by being recognized as top 40 under 40 at the age of 24, chosen to present her work at multiple showcase homes and gold & silver metals for Parade of Homes. Her work can be seen in recognizable spaces such as Town of Mt. Laurel in Birmingham, Alabama and the Talk of Alabama set of ABC 33/40.

Nichole lives and works in the Village of Indian Springs, Alabama. She is married with four children plus her beloved animals Louis and Kitty. She is very passionate about giving back to her community by volunteering at the local schools. It’s important to her, to give back to the youth and helping teachers in the classroom.

Nichole has been working with Shannon since the beginning of her career. Her knowledge and skills have helped the company turn some of the most distressed properties into jaw dropping before and after’s. Nichole is responsible for making interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials. She reads blueprints and is aware of building codes and inspection regulations.

Emme Eze – Marketing Coordination

Emme Eze is part of our marketing team. He handles all of the marketing coordination and assists with lead generation. He markets our services by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns, tracking sales data, maintaining databases, and preparing reports. He handles all of our call tracking and conversion ratios as well.

Mia Gunn – Online Marketing

Mia Gunn is also part of our marketing team. She handles all of our online marketing. Mia is responsible for increasing traffic to our company’s website to convert them through the sales funnel. She accomplishes this with a variety of strategies, including email campaigns, content marketing, search optimization and social media.
